A grapevine does not live in isolation – it lives within a complex ecosystem. the more healthy that ecosystem, the more healthy the grapevine, and the better the quality the wine.
At Les Vinyes Forer Massard we are working to enhance the biodiversity of our vineyards, focusing on three fundamental pillars:
Using detailed inventory, we choose strategies that are most suitable to each goal and area within our vineyards. Some selected strategies include planting native species to promote pollination, using pheromones to protect vines from pests, and establishing small habitats as refuges for local fauna, which play a vital role in the vineyards balance.
But our biggest
effort was switching our
viticultural methods to a
method of farming called
regenerative agriculture. Focusing
on soil health we strive to enhance
the microbial life in the soil so as to
make the vines stronger and healthier.

Our work in the vineyards is not static. Based on the regular monitoring in the vineyards we make adjustments to each of our strategies. Evolution to adapt to what is working in the vineyard is the key to success. we are constantly evolving.
